Postdoc Researcher Position as part of the EU-funded Project vera.ai
vera.ai is a research and development project focusing on disinformation analysis and AI supported verification tools and services. The postdoc position works on projects concerning ethnographies of fact-checking, coordinated inauthentic behaviour, post-truth space mapping and politics as well as influence metrics.
VERification Assisted by Artificial Intelligence
The Amsterdam School for Cultural Analysis (ASCA) currently has a vacant Postdoc researcher position as part of the EU-funded project vera.ai: VERification Assisted by Artificial Intelligence, of which the UvA part is led by main researcher prof. Richard Rogers. ASCA is one of the five Research Schools within the Amsterdam Institute for Humanities Research (AIHR).
This is what you will be doing
- designing and conducting research under the guidance of the project leader, resulting in at least one peer-reviewed academic publication in an international scientific journal, edited volumes, and/or monographs.
- organizing and facilitating projects at the Digital Methods Winter and Summer Schools.

This is where you'll be working
The Postdoc researcher will be appointed at the Department of Media Studies of the Faculty of Humanities and will conduct the research in ASCA. The position is for up to 8,5 months.
